For the past six years, Mrs. Browning has served as the principal of Sandstone Middle School. Before becoming a principal, she was the assistant principal at Armand Larive Middle School before being promoted.
In 2001, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health from Boise State University. After furthering her education, she earned her Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton in 2008.
A message from Principal Browning:
“It has been my honor to be the Principal at Sandstone Middle School as I work with excellent and kind individuals that only want the best for their students. The best part of my job is interacting with teenagers, talking with them daily in the hallways, and watching them grow into young men and women that go onto Hermiston High School and be successful. Though it is hard work, there is no other profession that gives us the opportunity to positively impact the next generation on a daily basis. Working to create change one day at a time.”
The greatest joy of Mrs. Browning's life is her two boys, Tabor-14 and Trayson-9- both enrolled in the HSD. Her husband, Josh Browning, brings two adult daughters into their family, Leslie and Morgan, past HHS graduates. Together, they have a black Shiitzpoo puppy named Rocco, whom they adore very much. In her spare time, Mrs. Browning enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time with family and close friends.
