Superintendent Dr. Tricia Mooney Has Been Appointed Vice Chair of the Quality Education Commission
The Hermiston School District is proud to announce Superintendent Dr. Tricia Mooney's appointment as Vice Chair of the Quality Education Commission (QEC) by Governor Tina Kotek.
Established by the Oregon Legislature in 2001, the QEC consists of education leaders from across the state tasked with determining the level of funding necessary to meet Oregon's education goals. Every two years, the commission publishes a report on what a high-quality education should look like in Oregon and what the projected cost should be.
